The Chosen Season 6, 5&2 Studios — There is a huge trend in faith-based entertainment, and Dallas Jenkins continues to be at the forefront of this movement. When The Chosen series first launched, it was a crowd-funded project. Since then, the series has grown exponentially with over 270 million viewers globally and more than 17 million social media followers.
Before landing at its homebase at Prime Video, the series was also released on Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video and The CW, in addition to The Chosen app, where viewers can stream it for free. The series continues to thrive on a unique business model through fan donations and a theatrical campaign in addition to streaming.
Later this year, Season 6 will launch on Prime Video with the first 6 episodes, followed by an exclusive theatrical window for the finale before the finale lands on Prime Video. In February, 5&2 Studios hosted the third-annual ChosenCon convention in Charlotte, similar to Comic-Con but "The Chosen"-focused, with 4,500 fans in attendance from around the globe.
In addition to The Chosen, Dallas has other projects in the works, including the animated series The Chosen Adventures, now streaming on Prime Video, The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls, and Joseph of Egypt.
