WHAT
Rich Spirit has just dropped the first official teaser for BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions, the debut feature from acclaimed artist and filmmaker Kahlil Joseph (Lemonade, Good Kid, m.A.A.d city).
The film will make its Main Slate premiere at the New York Film Festival on October 4 before heading to the London Film Festival and a U.S. theatrical rollout this November.
Kahlil Joseph pioneered the visual album. Ten years later, he’s embarking on another groundbreaking vision that leans into cinematic sampling.
BLKNWS is a conceptual cinematic experience that disrupts mainstream narratives by presenting Black culture on its own terms.
Already hailed as “one of the best films of 2025” (HPR) and “as formally inventive as it is intellectually exciting” (The New York Times), BLKNWS expands Joseph’s celebrated installation into a once-in-a-generation cinematic event — a film that plays like an album, thinks like an essay, and moves like jazz.
Creative husband-and-wife duo Kahlil Joseph and Onye Anyanwu, the Director and Producer of BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions, will be available for interviews
