About
Launching on Apple TV, "Twisted Yoga" is a three-part documentary series that examines the rise and unraveling of a global tantric yoga movement that drew followers worldwide with promises of spiritual growth and belonging. Through the experiences of former students and investigative reporting across multiple countries, the series traces how an idealized wellness community became the subject of serious criminal allegations against its founder, Gregorian Bivolaru — allegations he denies and which remain under active court scrutiny. By weaving personal testimony with ongoing inquiry, "Twisted Yoga" offers a measured, human-centered exploration of belief, power, and the hidden dynamics within spiritual organizations.

The series is produced by Lightbox, in association with Ladywell Films, and executive produced by two-time Academy Award-winning producer Simon Chinn ("Man on Wire," "Searching for Sugarman"), Emmy Award winner Jonathan Chinn ("TINA," "LA 92"), Suzanne Lavery ("Curse of the Chippendales," "The Diamond Heist") and Bernadette Higgins ("The Tinder Swindler," "American Nightmare"). The series is directed by Rowan Deacon ("Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story," "How to Die: Simon's Choice").

All episodes premiere March 13 globally on Apple TV.
