Tucci in Italy
Who
Exec Producer Lottie Birmingham and Director of Photography Matt Ball
What
National Geographic's Emmy-nominated series Tucci in Italy returns. Stanley Tucci believes that the best way to understand what makes a country and its people unique is through its food. Nowhere is this true more than Italy where even the shape of your pasta and the sauce you serve it with can speak directly to identity and differentiate each region sharply from the next. He is returning to visit five new regions, including one he's never featured before: Le Marche, whose many culinary delights have escaped the attention of international tourists. In Campania, and its famed capital Naples, he celebrates a once forgotten vine grape and in Veneto he deliciously wades into the controversy over the origins of tiramisu. Stanley also visits two very different Islands — Sardinia, where he looks into the relationship between food and longevity, and Sicily where the multicultural history has left a delicious mark on its food.
